This seems to be a fascinating new part of how people use the Net. Although the content is strictly the thoughts of people (and therefore to be taken as such), we dont view it as a real news source or authoritative data.
It is, however, interesting to read from an individuals perspective, not "sanitized" by the media or Govt printing office or any other peer group.

The Software

In the old days, we just made web pages by hand to ramble (this was the only way to tell our stories, and some of mine can be found here)
Blogging software comes in a few categories, but basically, its just simple web forms that allow you to type your text, and it formats that text into a cronological format and does the HTML work for you.
Here is one that is the BEST mix so far of PHP-Nuke, PNuke, B2, and all.. its called GeekLog, and is similar to PHP-Nuke with blogger tweaks.. check it out Here
