DCC send and receive over Firewall / Proxies

With a firewall, there are ports which need to be forwarded to a target machine INSIDE the network, and this port range needs to be set up inside IRC as well, to minimize outside hacking attempts, this port range shouldnt be very large, perhaps only 100.

When using a proxy server, your options are much more limited. Due to the nature of HOW a proxy works, there are no good ways to set up DCC. Instead, what is needed is NAT32 (Network Address Translation), which is, esentially port forwarding as specified in the paragraph above for routers.
