One of the other things that takes up my time is graphics manipulation. I like to take a photograph
of something fairly normal (a cityscape, park, etc) and then add something which is normally
impossible. One such example is a 500 ft person standing behind the high rises of a downtown
area. Another might be putting ones head on a different body (not necessarily human either!).
Then there is the artistic part of graphics manipulation, using filters to change the image in some
way. Maybe changing the colors, or adding some kind of texturing, or mapping the image onto
various shapes for effect.
As a side benefit to learning how to due graphics manipulation, I learned how to "clean up" older photographs.
This picture (showing before and after) was a scan of an old, creased, wallet size photo, which was cleaned up
considerably.
