This is a small documentary of my trip 3,000 miles across the US from Sacramento, CA to
Orlando, FL - It certainly wasn't uneventful! I had a tire separating.. and I went to a tire shop just north of Los Angeles and was told I was lucky I got that far. After two new tires in the front and a front end alignment.. I was good to go and could cruise at much better speeds!! :)
The California Desert East of Los Angeles. It took 8 hours to get to THIS point from Sacramento
More of the hills around the desert... Still in California
Even more hills and Desert... I noticed slight changes in the types of plants.. but mostly just desert
Finally! a Real cactus! This was just across the Arizona border across the Colorado River... I guess they cant swim, because none were to be found in California
My first major planned stop was to meet a friend in Phoenix. MadMallard was nice enough to
Get me into these areas to see, touch, and feel F-16 fighter jets... the following is the few pics I took of that day.. Many Thanks Mallard! A Day I'll NEVER forget!!!
Here I am IN the cockpit of one of these jets.. A surprisingly tight fit for such a big plane.. WOO HOOO!!!
MadMallard and I :)
Here I am STILL smiling!!! I am actually IN one!! hehehehe
The other side of the F-16 I was sitting in... Now if ONLY I had 18,000 for a one hour ride :)
I continued on after seeing some of the rest of the base.. and watching a few takeoffs and
landings.. I ended up just east of Tucson that night at 1am
What a nice little Motel I found.. a nice big room and a tub to soak all my travel pains in..
another view of the room
and one more view
In West Texas.. STILL desert! Am I EVER gonna get past all this?!?!
STILL in Texas... It didnt change until I was halfway into Texas
I was East Texas Visiting kay and night... I drove 888 miles to get here in one day
from my Stop in Arizona. 1700 miles so far...

I Left Texas 2.5 days later and drove from there to Jacksonville, Florida in a single day!
Some 1055 miles in 15 hours of driving... crossing Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and into Florida...
STILL in Texas... Although parts of Louisiana looked like this too... Darn thing was 900 miles wide!!!
Louisiana... Coming into Baton Rouge
Louisiana... some of the swamplands
Louisiana... a river between the swamps LOL
I would have taken Pics of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.. but it
was dark the rest of the way to Florida and storming the next day on the way to Orlando!
